FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Lionel Messi says he will play in Inter Miami’s season finale on Saturday, although the club hasn’t confirmed that is the actual plan.Messi — who scored two goals for Argentina in its 2-0 World Cup qualifying win at Peru on Tuesday night — wasn’t in the lineup for Inter Miami’s final home game of its Major League Soccer season against Charlotte on Wednesday night. That was expected. DENVER (KDVR) — Federal investigators have released preliminary information showing a broken rail likely caused the Colorado train derailment near Pueblo on Sunday. That derailment killed a truck driver on Interstate 25 and has led to an indefinite closure of the interstate. "These can develop quickly or sometimes they develop slowly, and when they do, they start cracking out the railroad. Why do tires deflate in cold weather?

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 07:54:42 GMT

DENVER (KDVR) -- Tires naturally lose air pressure over time, but each year as the weather gets colder, tire pressure lights turn on and drivers everywhere begin to look for the nearest air compressor. For many motorists, this is the first sign that cold temperatures are coming and that they need to winterize their vehicles, according to AAA Regional Director Skyler McKinley. When should you switch to snow tires for the winter season? McKinley said the reason for this annual, widespread decrease in tire air pressure is just fundamental physics.Boyle's law is a gas law which McKinley summarized as the pressure of a gas at a volume is proportionate to temperature. It means that air pressure in a space will drop when it is cold, and increase when it is hot.Air molecules in tires bounce around. In the heat, there is more energy and those molecules bounce faster, resulting in higher air pressure. The opposite is true when the ambient temperature goes down."With a loss of temperature com...
